It's been a little while since I have blogged :) Not that I haven't wanted to. I have written thoughts on paper, in poems etc. I just couldn't seem to get it on here. I find myself researching
family history,
eBaying and creating jewelry. My brother told me about family that used to be stone cutters and designers before he passed. It's interesting how we sometimes end up in the footsteps of our ancestors.
It has been years now of researching and there is still so much to learn :) People we miss and people we try to forget. It all is a part of who we are. How it affects how we live, choices we make consciously or
unconsciously.
I have loved rocks from the time I was little. I haven't lost this passion. It is a top favorite in my hobby list. Little did I know I wasn't that far from my family. When I could go outside, I found a peacefulness in nature. I Enjoyed playing on a huge rock pile. I sometimes was chased by my brother and we would be laughing as we tumbled down the rocks. I spent other times admiring, searching and collecting fossils, shiny rocks etc. It was a time to put sadness
aside and be hopeful. If even for a moment, I found peace and tranquility it was well worth doing.
I am grateful for my brother, the good memories he held on to. He was only a few years older than me,but he never forgot who we were, who we belonged to :) Hope always lived within
us, remembering a better place and time. Little did we know we were so close to our roots, but yet so far away. Sadness didn't stop the hope within. It would take years to reunite with our loved ones and we still needed and tried to find our place of peace within ourselves, to endure the pain.
We were able to explore caves, caverns, gorges as we grew up. I realize now that even though our life was hard, I am appreciative of these few good memories. This was the journey that was to start my love of rocks and nature.
Life is good times and bad times and how we adjust. Life is what we make it :) Serenity
is being able to love and be loved unconditionally. I have found great information in family researching, geneology, that supports family memories, facts and an appreciation of being content within. Well more next time perhaps :) I have other things that need attending to :)
My hobby, love of rocks and jewelry making keeps me busy. It is just one of the may things I
do throughout my busy days!!!
